Staci Bender Epstein

Staci is a serial entrepreneur who believes in the value of networking, connecting and relationships. It is what inspires her to “be” who she is today. Staci has successfully matched people and companies for years – solving problems for clients and watching people thrive in their careers. This is what drove Staci to start her second company – Be Group.

For two decades, Staci has been working with many of the region’s greatest leaders who are now part of her core network. Her business experience, extensive involvement on numerous boards, and background in sales and marketing taught her how to ask the right questions, understand what clients need and find candidates who exceed expectations.

An Inspiring Entrepreneur

Prior to starting Be Group, Staci was Founder and Principal of Slice Communications, a Public Relations and Social Media agency launched in 2007 where she built her reputation as an extremely hard-working and goal-oriented entrepreneur. Authenticity is at her core. To “be” unordinary and to be inspiring are simply part of her DNA.

Building a Foundation

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Staci launched her career in account management and business development at Markitects, a strategic marketing, branding and communications agency. She then served as marketing manager for Innovation Philadelphia, a dynamic economic development organization. Staci also served as a business development manager at MISI Company (now NTT Data), an IT staffing and consulting company.

Staci was selected as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40 for the Class of 2016. The 40 Under 40 award recognizes young professionals in Greater Philadelphia for outstanding success and contributions to their community. Award recipients represent some the region’s most entrepreneurial and influential up-and-comers.

Boards and Volunteering

Staci is involved with Summer Search, which helps students from low-income backgrounds strengthen the skills they need to become college-educated leaders who give back to their families and communities. She also dedicates her talents to the POWER of Professional Women, a newly-established, Philadelphia-based forum that builds up and puts to work its collective power to promote professionalism, interests, career development, leadership skills and community involvement. Staci is a member of PACT (Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital & Technologies), the Independence Business Alliance (IBA), and the Jewish Business Network (JBN). She participates in various networking groups around the region.

Staci previously served on the boards of The Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia (EFGP); the Philadelphia Area New Media Association (PANMA); and The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). She was chair of the Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS) Crowdfund initiative “Share a Ride” Campaign for 2016 and was a 2016 Gala Co-Chair for NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship). In addition, Staci served as Vice President, Young Friends Committee, of Tree House Books. She sat on the Executive Committee of Project Empower for Jewish Family and Children Services (JFCS) and has been involved with JEVS Human Services. Staci has donated her time to the Variety Club and was a Community sponsor for Conestoga High School’s Senior Internship Program. She was featured on Executive Leaders Radio and has also been a guest speaker on the topic of Social Media Strategy at Villanova University’s MBA program, at Temple University’s Blackstone Launchpad program on the topic of leadership and entrepreneurship, and the 2014 Moxie Women Conference on the topic of networking.
